Veteran Homelessness Is Not New... But That Does Not Make It Acceptable
Veteran homelessness is not a new concern. Since the beginning of colonisation in Australia, veterans have fallen on hard times and required support. From the end of the first World War, veterans have been assisted by those who feel that deep connection with our national defenders. Throughout the decades of the 20th Century, Australia witnessed an unprecedented growth in the numbers of veterans who were left unattended and fell into decrepid solitude.
Homelessness in a society like Australia is not acceptable for anyone.
We all can make a difference in the life of a veteran, ex service person and their families.
